Syllabus
  • The course will discuss legal issues related to entrepreneurship. When an entrepreneur is born, complex legal questions are born together with the entrepreneur, of which sometimes the novice entrepreneur is unaware, at least not in the beginning. The legal issues may be fateful later in the life of the venture. Therefore, the course offers legal tastings in various areas that every entrepreneur should start getting to know. In the course we will learn, among other things, about intellectual property and its importance in the venture, legal issues that may influence the decision of what type of legal entity will be established, different types of investors and the legal consequences of each and more.

Lecturer: Dr. Dalit Ken-Dror Feldman

Dalit Ken-Dror Feldman holds a bachelor's degree in law (with honors) and Computer Science (cum laude) (2001) from the University of Haifa. Holds a Master of Laws – Commercial Track (cum laude) (2008) from Tel Aviv University and holds a PhD in Law from the University of Haifa (2018). Her areas of research focus on law and technology: Information Security and Cyber Defense Laws including Online Terrorism; Intellectual Property Law; Software law and information law; Artificial intelligence ethics and regulation, including unmanned aerial vehicles ("skimmers") and regulation, autonomous cars and regulation; Encryption and regulation; Attrition and trial; Professional Ethics Law.

Ken-Dror Feldman served as legal counsel in the Department of Counsel and Legislation at the Military Prosecutor's Office in various positions. Ken-Dror Feldman was deputy editor of the journal Law and Government, deputy editor of a book in the series Social Law and Culture: Jewish Identity and an editorial board in "The Book of Daniel – Studies in the Thought of Professor Daniel Friedman".
