Building the Future of Mental Health Through Collaboration
The future of mental health won’t be built in one lab, one clinic, or one startup.
It will be built by an ecosystem.
This belief was at the heart of the Mental Health Innovation Summit 2026, which brought together nearly 200 researchers, entrepreneurs, clinicians, investors, students, and ecosystem partners at the University of Haifa to explore the future of mental health innovation.
Organized by Haifa Innovation Labs (HIL) in collaboration with Teuza Venture Capital Fund, Clalit Innovation, Haifa & Western Galilee District, the Municipality of Haifa, The Healthcare Bay, Mental Health Innovations IL, and The Luzzatto Group, the Summit highlighted the power of collaboration across academia, healthcare, industry, and the public sector.
From Research to Real-World Impact
A central theme of the Summit was the journey from evidence to impact. The panel “From Evidence to Trust: How Research Earns the Right to Scale” brought together experts from research, healthcare, and industry to explore how scientific evidence can build trust and enable innovation to reach the people who need it.
The Summit also marked the culmination of HIL’s six-month Mental Health Accelerator, which supported 12 ventures led by University of Haifa researchers, students, and entrepreneurs developing solutions to pressing mental health challenges.
During the evening, six ventures took the stage for Demo Day, presenting their solutions to experts from healthcare, academia, industry, and venture capital. The accompanying Mental Health Innovation Expo showcased applied research and emerging ventures from across the ecosystem.
More Than a Summit
The Summit was more than a conference. It was a platform for connection, knowledge exchange, and collaboration, bringing together people who might not otherwise meet and creating opportunities for ideas to move from research and early-stage concepts toward meaningful real-world impact.
At HIL, we believe that meaningful innovation begins long before a product is built. It begins by bringing together the right people, disciplines, expertise, and perspectives around a shared challenge.
When research meets entrepreneurship, healthcare meets innovation, and people meet each other, real impact begins.
We are grateful to our partners, speakers, mentors, researchers, entrepreneurs, and the entire HIL community for making this Summit possible and for contributing to a growing ecosystem committed to transforming mental health innovation.
The Summit may be over.
The collaborations it sparked are only beginning.
