Course Summary

This course provides a comprehensive, dual-perspective approach to technological entrepreneurship, combining essential legal fundamentals with practical business strategies. Designed for aspiring entrepreneurs, the course guides students through every major stage of a startup’s lifecycle, from initial ideation, selecting an incorporation structure, and shaping a business model, to intellectual property protection, venture financing, privacy compliance, and eventual exit or dissolution.

Throughout the semester, students work in small teams to develop a original tech startup concept. Combining hands-on business methodologies (such as the Value Proposition Canvas and Business Model Canvas) with core legal considerations (such as founders’ agreements, equity distribution, and term sheets), the course culminates in a final pitch presentation simulating a real-world investor deck presentation.
