HIL Hosts International Conference on Global Migration Patterns
The University of Haifa's HIL Institute is proud to announce a significant new grant awarded to Dr. Elara Vance for her groundbreaking research on the intersection of digital humanities and social justice. This funding will enable a two-year project exploring the impact of online narratives on community building.

From July 10-12, the HIL Institute was proud to be the venue for the "Global Migration Futures" conference, a pivotal gathering for experts in migration studies. Keynote speakers included Professor Anya Sharma from the University of Oxford and Dr. Kenji Tanaka from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Sessions covered a wide array of topics, from the socio-economic integration of refugees to the ethical implications of border policies and the role of technology in humanitarian aid. The conference provided a vital platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, promoting new research collaborations and contributing to evidence-based policy recommendations for one of the most pressing global issues of our time.
