The program focuses on early-stage projects in various subjects and is intended for students, researchers, and external participants. The program is structured in two phases of ideation and acceleration and lasts approximately 6 months.
The program focuses on early-stage projects across a wide range of fields—including health, climate, education, social innovation, and technology—and is open to students, academic researchers, and participants from outside the university. It is designed to serve as a launchpad for ideas with potential for real-world impact, whether in the form of ventures, initiatives, or research-based solutions.
Structured in two distinct phases, Ideation and Acceleration, the program spans approximately six months. During the Ideation phase, participants work in multidisciplinary teams to define the challenge they aim to solve, validate user needs, and begin shaping their solution using tools from design thinking and Lean Startup. In the Acceleration phase, entrepreneurs dive deeper into product development, stakeholder engagement, business modeling, and preparation for pilot programs, grant applications, and investment readiness.
Throughout the program, participants benefit from expert mentorship, tailored workshops, and direct access to HIL’s network of partners in academia, industry, government, and civil society, ensuring that each project is grounded in both practical insight and academic rigor.
