Course Description

How are new ideas born? Why do some people see solutions others miss?
The Power to Create is a hands-on course that opens the door to creative thinking, the ability to imagine, innovate, and turn ideas into real-world solutions. Throughout the course, you’ll explore how creativity works, learn practical innovation tools such as Design Thinking, SCAMPER, and SIT, and practice generating and developing ideas across diverse fields. You’ll identify barriers to creativity, analyze real-world cases, and discover how organizations and teams build a culture of innovation. Students work in teams on a final project: defining a real need, applying creative frameworks, building a simple prototype, and presenting their solution at the end of the semester.
