“I participated in the Lior Boker Hackathon 2025, a course offered by HIL to all university students and specifically made available through the School of Environmental Sciences. As part of the hackathon, my team and I won the “Judges’ Favorite” award, along with financial support for our project, Fire Compass. During the hackathon, we worked as a team to develop a practical solution for locating and rescuing hikers during wildfires, gathering all essential information and presenting it professionally to a panel of expert judges, all under intense time pressure. From this experience, I gained valuable tools that will help me not only in my studies but also in life. I am now proud to be part of the warm and supportive HIL family and to continue developing our project into a serious startup with their help.”
